Wie funktioniert Glück? (How does happiness work?)
Inspired by critiques of how schoolbooks often present narrow or idealized views of reality, this project set out to create a workbook that reflects the everyday lives and diversity of children in Kreuzberg. The workbook was developed together with the students during class. Children were invited to share ideas, make choices, and suggest changes. They appear in the book themselves, in photographs from their school environment, and became active contributors to its content. The result is a clear and accessible workbook that invites participation and exploration. With simple language and open tasks, it leaves room for creative learning and gives teachers flexibility in how the material is used.
In collaboration with Nürtingen Grundschule, Markus Schega, Ellen Nonnenmacher, and the children of the Nürtingen basic school in Berlin Kreuzberg.
